Change of Platform Procedure
Step [1.] Consultant will create a JO for the following request. Log in to http://betajo.webfocus.ph/ using your username and password. Create the following JO request.
■ Request for Change of platform.
■ Request for Backup of web files and email with all configuration and DNS setting.
■ Request for Uploading of files and creation of emails.
Step [2.] Customer care will assign and forward the JO to technical support
Customer care will forward the request for back up of webfiles and emails to techsupport@servobox.com to be process.
NOTE: Kindly indicate the date and time when to process the request
Step [3.] Technical Support will process the JO for Backup of web files and email.
Log in to http://betajo.webfocus.ph/ using your username and password. Search for the JO number indicated on the request and change the status to Processing also create a discussion on the JO request that request is currently being process and updates will be given once backup of files and email are done.
■ Login to control panel and search for the account indicated in the JO and list down all existing email accounts including passwords together with mailing list and other email Configuration.
■ Go to domain settings and click DNS configuration and screenshot DNS configuration.
■ Login to mail server where account indicated on request is located. Run the following commands to backup the emails of the account.
Locate the directory where the account is located
linux]# /hsphere/local/var/vpopmail/bin/vdominfo domain.com
Go the directory where the account is located by running command
linux]# cd /hsphere/local/var/vpopmail/domains/ ((example only)
Run the following command to compress and backup the emails.
linux]# tar –cvf domain.com.tar.gz domain.com
■ Download and backup all web files via filezilla and save it to your local computer.
■ Repost feedback on the backup of web files and emails (successful/remarks) on the given Joborder for Documentation Purposes
Note: Time frame for backup of webfiles and email will depend on the files size..
Step [4]. Customer care will process the request for change of platform.
■ Login to control panel and search for the account indicated in the JO
■ Screenshot contact information, disk usage, account created.
■ Input the account that will be deleted into CSR report.
■ Deletion of old hosting account.
■ Creation of new hosting account for the new platform.
■ Moderation of Account.
■ Input created account into CSR report.
■ Forward account set up to client and Sales Representative.
■ Repost feedback on the Change Platform status (successful/remarks) on the given Joborder for Documentation Purposes
NOTE: Change of platform will only affect the website platform. Make sure that the mail server will remain in its original mail server.
Step [5.] – Technical Support will process the JO for Uploading of web files and creation of email.
■ Login to control panel and search for the account indicated in the JO
■ Get the new credentials for FTP. Upload the web files to the new hosting account via filezilla.
■ Create the email accounts on the new hosting with their original password.
■ Create all mailing list and mail forwarding based from the original set up of email.
■ Creation of new hosting account for the new platform.
■ Checking and configuration of DNS information.
■ Check and test if mail and website is working.
■ Repost feedback on the Uploading of web files and creation on email accounts (successful/remarks) on the given Joborder for Documentation Purposes.
Step [6.] – New hosting credentials including ftp and control panel will be sent to client's authorized email account.
